The Brazilian side become the latest team to withdraw from the RMR event.
Keyd have announced that they have withdrawn from CBCS Elite Season 1, the first Regional Major Ranking (RMR) tournament in the South American region in 2021, following allegations of a VAC-banned account owned by Kayke "kye" Bertolucci.
The Brazilian organisation stated that it will conduct a 'rigid' internal investigation into those claims and temporarily suspended the player. "Due to the current situation, we have opted to withdraw from the competition as a demonstration of respect for CBCS and Valve," the statement read.
Keyd are the third team to withdraw from the South American RMR event, which began on Friday. Bears left the competition on Thursday due to a VAC-banned account allegedly own by Mateus "cidZzZ" Piber Fão, and DETONA pulled out of the tournament on Saturday following claims that Kaue "kauez" Kaschuk had a VAC ban on an old account because of a skin changer tool.
Keyd leave the CBCS tournament with a 1-2 record following a walkover win over Bears - the team they were slated to face in the third round - and losses to Paquetá and Bravos. There are now only 13 teams left in the RMR competition, in which Sharks and Bravos were the first two sides to seal passage to the playoffs.
